1. ASHTON CREEK VINEYARD

Capacity: Accommodates up to 250 guests for a seated ceremony and reception.

Price: Fees for ceremony and reception are between $6,000 and $6,500 Friday through Sunday, and are $4,500 Monday through Thursday. Option of additional services like fire pit rental, illuminating lighting decor, and bar packages range from $50 to $500.

Ashton Creek Vineyard is conveniently located in Chester, VA, just outside of Richmond. Along with boasting an excellent location, Ashton Creek Vineyard provides lovely options for both indoor and outdoor weddings, small ceremonies of fewer than 50 people and large wedding parties of more than 250 guests. 12-hour facility access gives you plenty of scheduling flexibility as well.

 

2. BIG SPRING FARM

Capacity: The barn seats a maximum of 150 guests, although you have the option of renting a tent to cover part of the lawn, which allows a total of up to 300 guests.

Price: The total rental estimate is around $7,800, although packages start at just $4,600. This covers lighting, decor, chairs, bars, parking attendants, a rain plan, and more!

An hour’s drive outside of Charlottesville, Big Springs Farm offers incredible spots for both indoor and outdoor weddings. It is impossible to not fall in love with the romantic, whimsical vibe! Be aware that there is a curfew of 10:30pm in accordance with Rockbridge County ordinance.

 

3. FAIRVIEW FARM

Capacity: Maximum venue occupancy of 245 people; catering is included for 100 guests with a standard weekend package, although adjustments can be made.

Price: “Basic full service weekend inclusive package” ranges from $17,000 to $20,000. This covers catering, DJs, decorations for the venue, a full service planner/consultant, a Saturday morning pontoon boat fishing excursion, staff to handle parking, set-up, and clean-up, and accommodations in the recently-updated bridal suite wing!

This rustic chic property in Powhatan, VA is so dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience for you and your guests. Up to 38 guests can stay at Fairview in a waterfront cottage and a hay barn from the 1940s that has been converted into a retro chic loft. A variety of activities on site make a weekend stay at Fairview Farm an enjoyable experience for all.

 

4. HISTORIC JASMINE PLANTATION

Capacity: The Plantation caters to wedding parties of all sizes, with options for small groups of fewer than 20 people all the way up to groups of over 300.

Price: There are 5 possible packages, with prices ranging from $2490 to $8000. Packages include private access to the entire Plantation, including the Manor House,  illuminating lighting at your choice of four different ceremony sites at the Plantation, reception space, and the setup of tables and chairs in preparation for the ceremony and reception.

Historic Jasmine Plantation is a cheerful venue for outdoor weddings. There are four options for your ceremony site (all of which bring an incredibly romantic feel): a Grecian-style eight pillar pergola with celebration bell tower, a

Magnolia terrace covered in brick with perimeter lights and chandelier, a domed gazebo with lighting and chandelier, and a wooden gazebo with lighting. No matter your preferences, the Plantation will have an option that will make you even happier to say “I do.”

 

5. JAMES MONROE'S HIGHLAND

Capacity: James Monroe’s Highland can host 200 guests for an outdoor ceremony and reception, and 125 for an indoor reception.

Price: Rental fees for ceremony and reception range from $2,500 to $7,000.

To add a dash of history to your wedding, check out James Monroe’s Highland in Charlottesville. The daughter of President Monroe was married here! The property’s gardens are a lovely backdrop for wedding photos, and you are sure to love the charm of this historic venue. Its Charlottesville location is also very convenient for guests.

 

6. JOHN MARSHALL BALLROOMS

Capacity: Roughly 300 guests, with varying seating arrangement between the main floor and balcony level.

Price: $3,500 to $4,500

This glamorous Richmond venue is perfect for anyone who wants a classy indoor wedding with an excellent location. For the girl who always wanted to have a huge wedding, the ballrooms can accommodate upwards of 300 guests, so this is definitely the place for you!

 

7. SEVEN SPRINGS

Capacity: Up to 200 guests

Price: Between $6,000 and $7,500 for a full day, and $10,000 for the full weekend package. All rentals include a 1-hour rehearsal the night before the wedding day, access for 8 hours on the day of the event, chairs, tables, a parking attendant, reception pavilion, and setup. The full weekend package includes accommodations for 20 guests on site.

Seven Springs is a dreamy property in King William County, VA. The secluded, romantic vibes at this historic farm and manor house are an ideal venue for anyone who is attracted to the idea of a chic, scenic, woodsy venue (I doubt anyone could resist the natural beauty of Seven Springs!).

 

8. THE BOATHOUSE AT SUNDAY PARK

Capacity: The waterfront ceremony space can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Price: Packages for both ceremony and reception start around $2,000, and go up to $3,500.

With views of the James River, The Boathouse at Sunday Park, located in the south side of Richmond, is truly an elegant, nautical-themed venue. Enjoy waterfront views at your ceremony and reception. Wedding lunch and dinner options are offered in packages, with delicious food that will impress your guests and keep them happy as they join you in celebrating your day. When setting up venue tours, note that there are two other Boathouse locations located within the greater Richmond area with slightly different styles of interior.

 

9. VERITAS WINERY

Capacity: Veritas Winery has space for a maximum of 250 guests, with indoor and outdoor options.

Price: Fees for ceremony and reception range from $5,000 to $35,000. Catering, drinks, service staff, and venue manager included.

Tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Veritas is a dramatic backdrop for your indoor or outdoor wedding dreams. They are very flexible with large parties, accommodating 250 for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions!

 

10. VIRGINIA BEACH'S MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Capacity: 200 guests for an indoor ceremony and reception

Price: $900 to $5,500 for ceremony and reception, just ceremony, and just reception options!

Virginia Beach’s Museum of Contemporary Art is a classy indoor venue for those seeking a truly cool wedding. It is impossible not to have a fabulous time in this welcoming, open space. In addition, they are very flexible with scheduling hours. This is a lovely, conveniently-located venue, and I promise you don’t have to love contemporary art to appreciate this place!
