Your Guide to Partying Pretty: Paper Goods

Hello, beautiful readers!

As often as it seems that the wedding is more about the in-laws and the caterers and your fiancé’s weird uncle than it seems to be about you—this is YOUR day. It really is about you and celebrating your love.

And what’s the best way to remind all of your party guests that it’s all about you?  By Personalizing. Everything, especially those invitations, save-the-dates, programs, and signage that your guests will see every single moment up until and throughout your big day.

So, today I’m going to share with you some of my favorite artists that will make your paper goods that much more memorable and lovely, and just more you.

Meet Jessica Marie Peddicord, of Simply Jessica Marie fame.

Jessica is a self-taught custom wedding stationer. With skills in watercolor, brush calligraphy, and storytelling, Jessica Marie can bring to life any custom design invitations or paintings. Her work is so colorful and simply GORGEOUS. Newly based out of Dallas, Texas, this Southern Belle will create the perfect keepsakes of you and your love for all the years of your marriage to come.

Brian and Emery Fitzgerald bring My Big Day Designs to life.

This California couple has nearly 50 years combined experience in graphic design, printing, and photography. Even better? Their designs are crrrrazy affordable, with only a $25 custom design retainer! Woo hoo! They can cover any wedding ideas you can think of, from whimsical themes and vintage sets to classic and modern. Best of all, they do day-of rush printing for those last-minute items you may need.

Prim & Pixie, led by Jennifer Ebert, Megan Roth, and Tess Branker are next in a great line-up of artists.

This L.A. studio does it all, from corporate events to social parties to, you guessed it, your BIG DAY.  With their “marriage of sophistication and whimsical design,” Prim & Pixie lead the pack with their wide range of invitations, save the dates, signage, escort cards and displays, cocktail napkins, menus, and table numbers, and that’s just for weddings. They even do photo shoots, so no matter what you have in mind, I would strongly suggest that you check them out for your next event!

Valerie McKeehan is the face of Lily & Val, a company for “hand-drawn lovelies” that creates unique and creative CHALKBOARD ART.

Nothing says personality like a personal chalk-drawn beauty. To preserve your chalkboard art long after saying "I do," Valerie makes a large digital copy for you to frame and save. This gem in Pittsburg, PA has a new flagship store for their one-of-a-kind products and is a definite stop on my next road trip.

All these talented people and their lovely creations make me giddy! I encourage you to keep up the inspiration search, and remember to stay TRUE to yourself when telling your love story.

xo,

the sparkler
